FAMILY NURSE PRACTITIONER POST-GRADUATE CERTIFICATE

The post-graduate Family Nurse Practitioner Certificate is designed to prepare experienced nurses for career advancement in caring for patients across the lifespan. Clinical courses build upon existing clinical skills and broaden knowledge base related to care of the family and individuals across the lifespan essential to independent or collaborative practice in primary care settings.

The Family Nurse Practitioner Certificate is 25-35 credits (depending upon transfer credits) and 730 clinical hours. The minimum time for program completion is 1.5 years, and students have up to five years to complete all certificate requirements from first enrollment. Support courses are offered on-campus at Villanova University or online, while clinical courses are taught on-site.
